13 Hidden Disney Movie Easter Eggs

Fact: We never get tired of watching Disney movies. Watching them over and over inevitably means we start noticing the clever little references and inside jokes that Disney animators hide for us eagle-eyed fans to find.

We poured through our favourite Disney animated classics to bring you these Easter eggs — some well-known, and some that blew our minds! Indulge, then share with everyone you know.

The Rescuers

Bambi and his mother appear in this scene from The Rescuers but we’ve probably never noticed things because it’s hard to see easter eggs through our tears, which are always flowing during this part of the movie.

One day you’re overthrowing the king, the next day you’re a throw rug. Textbook case of karma, or ironic reminder to ‘Be Prepared’? You decide.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Who knew Pumbaa would make such a dashing gargoyle?

101 Dalmatians

We’re not surprised that Lady and Tramp are among the many dogs wandering the streets of London.

We like to imagine that all the Disney princesses are best friends, and Rapunzel and Flynn’s appearance at Elsa’s coronation only confirms this in our minds.

We’re hoping Rapunzel’s usual morning routine doesn’t include “prick finger on an enchanted spinning wheel and fall into a death-like sleep.”

The Great Mouse Detective

Appearing as an adorable bubble toy is one of Dumbo’s many talents.

Lilo & Stitch

Nani is brave, smart, and fiercely loyal to those she loves — and her Mulan poster suggests she learnt from the best.

The Princess and the Frog

Do you guys think the magic carpet from Aladdin flew all the way from Agrabah to New Orleans?

Pinocchio and Pumbaa guest star in this scene in the Snuggly Duck. We really like that Pumbaa seems have acquired a nose ring. So early ’00s.

Big Hero 6

We like to think that the San Fransokyo police are somehow in touch with the authorities in Arendelle and they’re all looking for Hans Westergaard.

A carved wooden Mike Wazowski can be seen on top of the display case in Oaken’s Trading Post.

Wreck-It Ralph

In Wreck-It Ralph, two characters from Tangled make cameos: Maximus, and Vladimir, one of the thugs from the Snuggly Duckling.
