Mickey & Friends Kite

Craft this Mickey & Friends kite ready for outdoor fun on a blustery day!

Your kids can pick their favourite from four Mickey & Friends designs and then create this mini kite ready for their next outdoor adventure. The kites are so cute that they make for great bedroom decorations when the wind is scarce.

What You'll Need
  • Paper
  • 2 drinking straws per kite
  • String
  • PVA glue
  • Scissors
How To Make It
  1. Print the Mickey & Friends kite templates and cut out.

  2. Cut a length of string and tie one end to a straw about 2/3 of the way down.

  3. Cut the second straw into three pieces.

  4. Tie the other end of the string to the middle of a straw piece. This will be the kite handle. Add glue to the knot to prevent it sliding off the straw.

  5. Turn your kite over to the blank side. Draw a line of glue down and across the kite, connecting the corners and creating a cross

  6. Place the straws in the glue to form your kite frame. Allow the glue to dry.

  7. Take your kite outside and run around as fast as you can to see how high it can fly!
