Take flight with your own magical dragon wings!

We also have crafts to make a dragon mask and tail to complete the look.

What You'll Need
  • Printer
  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun and glue sticks
  • Wire coat hanger
  • Wire cutters
  • 2 different shades of green felt
  • Sewing machine
  • Green thread
  • Elastic
  • Bobby pins
How To Make It
  1. Print the Dragon Wings template onto white paper and cut out along the dotted lines.

  2. Pin the large shapes onto the light green felt, and smaller shapes onto the dark green felt.

  3. Cut the felt around the templates.

  4. Bend the wire coat hanger into the ’M shape’ of the top of the wings. Use the wire cutters remove any excess.

  5. Lay the wire frame on top of one set of felt wings and glue into place using the glue gun.

  6. Add more glue around the edges near the wire and glue the other set of felt wings on top.

  7. Using your sewing machine, sew around the edges of the wings.

  8. Use the glue gun to attach the felt spikes to the middle of your wings.

  9. Sew two loops of elastic to the middle of the underside of the wings (big enough for little arms to fit through).

  10. Bend the wire inside the wings to shape.

  11. Put your arms through the elastic loops, and fly like a dragon!
