What You'll Need
  • Red pillowcase
  • Pink pillowcase
  • Yellow felt
  • White felt
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue
  • Black fabric paint
  • Cardboard
  • Red paper streamers
  • Colourful construction paper (black, yellow, red, white)
How To Make It
  1. Cover your workspace with newspaper or craft paper. Place a piece of cardboard inside the opening of each pillowcase to prevent the fabric from sticking together.

  2. Use black paint to create a 5”-6” border at the opening of each pillowcase. Let paint dry completely before flipping the pillowcase over to paint the other side.

  3. Carefully cut out two oval shapes from yellow felt to create Mickey’s buttons. Hot glue the yellow buttons onto the middle of the red pillowcase. Let dry completely.

  4. Use a mason jar to trace 20-25 circles onto white felt and carefully cut out. Hot glue the white circles onto a pink pillowcase to recreate Minnie’s iconic polka-dot pattern look. Let dry completely.

  5. To create the finish line, cut out triangles from colorful construction paper. Add Mickey-shaped details to some of the triangles. Hot glue the triangles onto paper streamers.

  6. To play, parents hold the finish line at one end of the yard, and cheer on kids as they hop to the finish line! Take turns holding the finish line to give everyone a turn to play.
