What You'll Need
  • 1 large watermelon
  • 1 melon
  • ¼ of yellow watermelon
  • 500 g strawberries
  • 1 punnet of blueberries
  • 7 Carrots
  • 6 skewer sticks
  • 3 wooden rods
  • Pirate flags
How To Make It

  • Step1

    Slice the watermelon in half

  • Step2

    On one half of the melon mark out the interior of the ‘ship’ using a knife, then dig out the insides using a melon baller and place to the side.

    Use a melon baller to scoop out the insides of the other two melons.

  • Step4

    Take the other half of the watermelon and cut it into three sizes to form the sails. One piece will be larger than the other to to form the mainsail.

    Carefully cut the melon away from the skin.

  • Step6

    Insert the wooden skewers through each section to form the sail.

  • Step7

    Glue a pirate flag on 2 of the 3 sails.

  • Step8

    Peel 7 carrots and cut each one to roughly 7cm to form the ‘canons’.

  • Step9

    Using a knife carefully make three square openings on the side of the melon and insert the carrots.

  • Step10

    Make another opening on the front of the ship and insert a full sized peeled carrot.

  • Step11_12

    Use the left over watermelon to make three bases for each of the sails. Skewer each sail into a base and place inside the ship.

  • Step13

    Fill the boat with all the remaining fruit.

  • Step14

    Tie the string from the bow to the back of the boat.

    Serve and enjoy the boundless fruit booty with all your friends!
