Radiator Springs Racetrack

Give the little racer in your life the chance to drive around Radiator Springs with Lightning McQueen and all his friends.

Use colourful washi tape to make your own customisable race track complete with paper road signs, cacti and lots more!

What You'll Need
  • Printer
  • Toy cars
  • Washi tape
  • Scissors
  • Old shoeboxes (optional)
  • Double-sided tape or Blu-tack
  • Drinking straws
How To Make It
Step 1 / 5
  • Cars_Race_Track_6_(texted)_660x660

Using whatever colour washi tape you would like, create the outline for the outer track

  • Cars_Race_Track_4_(texted)_660x660

Using different coloured washi tape, design the inner track outline. You could even think about adding roundabouts and car parks if you like

  • Cars_Race_Track_5_(texted)_660x660

Add road markings using another different coloured washi tape

  • Cars_Race_Track_2_(texted)_660x660

Print out the resources and cut out the pictures. For cutouts with a tab, fold the tabs and stick them down using left over washi or double-sided tape.

For cutouts without a tab, tape them to drinking straws and use Blu-tack to stick them to the ground.

Use all of your new cutouts to decorate your Radiator Springs racetrack

  • Cars_Race_Track_1_(texted)_660x660

Your kids now have their very own Radiator Spring track to race their cars around

As an extra decoration flourish, why not to create buildings on the wall with your washi tape, or make your own from old shoeboxes?
