Grab a friend and say “HeeEeLLOooOO” with this classic tin can telephone craft.
- 2 tin cans
- 1 hammer and 1 nail
- A long piece of string
- Coloured construction paper or scrapbook paper
- Hot glue gun
- Marker pens
- Dory template print out
Wash and remove labels from tin cans. Let dry.
Use a hammer and nail to carefully make a hole in the middle of the bottom of each can.
Thread the string through the hole and tie a knot to keep it in place. Repeat with the second tin can.
Measure and cut out layers of construction paper to create stripes or a design of your choice.
Print out the Dory template and trace it onto colourful, patterned paper. Cut out the Dory shape and use hot glue to stick it onto the first tin can.
Use the whale tail template to trace it onto colourful or patterned paper. Cut out the whale tail shape and use hot glue to stick it onto the second tin can.
