- 135g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- 130ml milk
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 orange
- 2 blueberries
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into a large bowl. In a separate jug, whisk the milk and egg together.
Pour the milk mixture into the flour and use a fork to beat into a smooth batter. Leave the batter to stand for 5 minutes.
Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat with a little oil or butter. Once hot, cook one large pancake and one medium pancake. Wait until the top of the pancake begins to bubble before turning it over. Cook both pancakes till golden brown.
Place the large pancake in the centre of a plate. This will be BB-8’s body.
On a cutting board cut the medium pancake almost in half, but with one side slightly larger than the other.
Take the larger half and trim the corners. This will be BB-8’s head. Place above the large pancake.
Cut an orange into round slices. Take one slice and cut a crescent off of it. Place the whole orange slice on the top left part of the large pancake. Place the other slice on the bottom right.
Place two blueberries on the medium pancake as BB-8’s eyes.
